Full tournament regulations
The facility is governed by the principles of Golfpark Elbflorenz Betriebs-Gesellschaft Possendorf mbH and Golfclub Dresden-Elbflorenz e. V., complementing the etiquette and rules of the DGV.
Play requires mutual consideration. "Every player should have the opportunity to play 'their' game according to their level." This means mutual acceptance between stronger and weaker golfers regarding pace of play.
§ 1 Conduct of tournaments
All tournaments are played under the current rules of play and competition of the German Golf Association, the club's competition regulations, the local rules and any special rulings on the day of the tournament.
§ 2 Tournament conditions
Planned tournaments are published in the tournament calendar and on the website. A specific set of conditions with full details is posted at the clubhouse before play begins.
§ 3 Entry list and closing date
An entry list is posted at the clubhouse. Registrations are made in writing, by phone or via the website. After the closing date or once the maximum field is reached, registrations are placed on a waiting list. Cancellations and withdrawals are possible up to the closing date. For later cancellations or no-shows, the entry fee is due unless the spot can be filled.
§ 4 Players
Each player is responsible for paying the entry fee before play. Each player is responsible for the accuracy of the entries on their scorecard (handicap and score).
§ 5 Late starts
Rule 6-3 of the Rules of Golf applies for late arrivals. Players must report to the starter at least 5 minutes before their tee time. A late start of up to 5 minutes incurs two penalty strokes (stroke play) or loss of hole (match play). Greater delays result in disqualification.
§ 6 Markers
The marker is determined by the computer printout or by the starter.
§ 7 Tournament committee
The tournament committee consists of up to three people and, together with the rules and handicap committee, is responsible for the proper conduct of the event. It may decide on running, continuing or cancelling the tournament, alter groups and amend local rules. The committee is not responsible for any disadvantages players suffer due to lack of familiarity with these rules.
§ 8 Rules decisions by the committee
Decisions are based on Rules 33 and 34 of the Rules of Golf. The committee may appoint referees whose decisions are final. Complaints must be submitted no later than 15 minutes after the last player leaves the course. A tournament is considered complete 15 minutes after the announcement of the results.
§ 9 Decisions by the rules and handicap committee
For unsporting or seriously unsporting conduct, sanctions may be imposed: warning, conditions or temporary tournament ban. Seriously unsporting conduct includes the deliberate manipulation of results.
§ 10 Suspension of play due to danger
Suspension follows Rule 6-8 of the Rules of Golf. A siren signals suspension and resumption of play.
Basis: official DGV rules of golf, current season. Please always consult the individual tournament conditions before each event, as tournament-specific deviations may apply there.
